I’ve been a patient at this office since I was about 13–14 years old, so I’ve literally grown with this practice from a child, to an adolescent, to a young adult, and now an adult. That’s exactly why it’s so disappointing to have to write this. Dr. LaDonna Barnes has always provided great care, and Chelsea is amazing she’s professional, kind, and consistently one of the only staff members I see actively bringing patients back. They both truly stand out. However, the wait times have become unacceptable. I arrive early for my appointments, as instructed, and still end up waiting 30+ minutes every single time to be seen. Today was no exception. Another patient who arrived at 11:15 wasn’t seen until 11:45. At this point, this isn’t a one-off issue it’s a consistent pattern. It’s very clear the office is understaffed, and patients are the ones losing time because of it. I genuinely value this office and the care I’ve received over the years, which is why I’m saying this with respect but something needs to change. Had an interview scheduled and I had an unexpected emergency and I called and sent an email to reschedule with no returned response. Things beyond our control happens except for perfect people I assume.. I say I dodged a bullet because they seem to be on indeed quite often!

Overall I do not recommend this office I do not feel heard when I go to voice my health concerns I am just rushed out so that the next patient can be seen. I only reccomend Dr. Lamb at this facility.

I have been a long-time patient at the Charles R Drew Health Center in Dayton, Ohio, and have consistently had a decent experience with their services. The offices are typically clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for patients. I have also received Covid vaccinations from this health center, and the process was efficient and well-organized. While I have had positive experiences with most services at the Charles R Drew Health Center, I did encounter a less-than-satisfactory experience with therapy from a Caucasian male provider. As a result, I chose not to continue therapy with him. However, my primary care provider, who is also located at this health center, has been excellent and provides quality care. One aspect that I appreciate about the Charles R Drew Health Center is that it is normally easy to schedule appointments or get in for urgent visits. The staff is accommodating and helpful in facilitating appointments, making the process smooth and convenient for patients. The staff is friendly but apparently understaffed. I’m always here waiting 30 mins to be seen when I arrive early like they ask and still takes forever. Someone needs to hire more people and I could care less about who don’t wanna work cause there are people who do. Make it make sense. My time is valuable and if I was 20/30 min late I would asked to reschedule. Make my time just as important as yours. Thank you
